Second Grade Sonnet

We come together to create and build,
Our classroom is the place where we meet
We love to fill our bellies with fruit, cookies,
Pizza, Pizza, Pizza and oh, so many yummy treats
We use our bodies to play sports
And like LeBron we jump, we score
We love to hear stories about chocolate,
Secret gardens, giant peaches and more
Oh, we love to dance and spin and jump
It make's us feel so free
We love to sing and shout fun phrases like,
"To be or not to be"
We are grateful for our friends,
They make us feel joy when we look in their eyes
We are always busy with questions and comments,
Though sometimes conflicts arise
We know we can always talk and work things out
There's never a need to shout or pout
We love our animals, we have chickens, 
Hamsters, dogs and cats, 
They are our very good friends
We have grand imaginations, we like to pretend,
That we are Christopher Marlo or
 Bill Murray or LeBron James
We love Niners and Seahawks, Seahawks, Seahawks!
Yeah! We just love games!
Please feel free to bring us ice cream,
Vanilla is just fine
It'll put a smile on our face
And make us feel divine
Sometimes we eat too much and 
It makes us feel a little gassy
But we just laugh, then go out and play and
We are happy lads and lassies
So come with us take a trip,
All aboard the Second Grade Train
